Abdul Quddus, the Jewish Youth of Prophet Muhammad

One of the servants or slaves of the Prophet was Abdul Quddus. He is a Jewish youth who helps the Prophet in living his daily life. Abdul Quddus was tasked with combing the Prophet's hair.

Abdul Quddus's position - as a messenger of the Prophet - was once used by a group of Jews who were not happy with the Prophet. They asked Abdul Quddus the Prophet's hair to fall out. Abdul Quddus, who was still young, was not suspicious. He just gave the hair of the Prophet who fell to them. Without any slight suspicion that it will be made to harm his employer.

Sure enough, the Prophet's hair turned out to be used as an intermediary to send black magic.

It was Labid bin al-A'sham who did that. But unfortunately, the effort failed. The magic he sent did not work because the Prophet was guarded directly by Allah.

Abdul Quddus was so kind and considerate of the Prophet. He always serves the Prophet everyday in carrying out his activities. Differences in religion and ethnicity did not make Abdul Quddus hate the Prophet. Abdul Quddus gave service to the Prophet sincerely and sincerely.

Vice versa. The Messenger of Allah was very attentive to his servants, including Abdul Quddus. The Prophet took the time to visit Abdul Quddus when his servant fell ill.

The Messenger of Allah sits right above Abdul Quddus's head who is lying limp. The Messenger of Allah was sorry to see Abdul Quddus's condition because at that time the maid was dying. He then called for Abdul Quddus to embrace Islam. Abdul Quddus didn't immediately say it. He asked permission from his father who at that time was also in one room.

"Please you follow the teachings of Abul Qasim (Muhammad), Abdul Quddus's father was willing to convert to Islam," answered the young Jewish father, as in the hadith of Bukhari's history.

So Abdul Quddus finally converted to Islam.

The Messenger of Allah who invited Abdul Quddus without coercion was happy after Abdul embraced Islam. The Prophet prayed that Abdul Quddus would be free from the torments of hellfire.

Thus the Messenger of Allah behaved to his servants or slaves. He does not discriminate between servants or slaves based on religion or tribe. Nor did it force his servants to convert to Islam.

Instead the Prophet only offered to his non-Muslim servants to embrace Islam. He treats all his helpers well and equally.

Because for the Messenger of Allah, slaves or servants are like brothers. Therefore, the Prophet gave food and clothes to his servants as he ate and used them. Not different. So even with Abdul Quddus, his servant who is a Jew.

Actually there are many servants or slaves of the Prophet, not only Abdul Quddus. But all the slaves or servants of the Prophet were freed later.
